The Painting Experience Facilitator Training
Canby Grove Retreat Center, Portland, OR | November 11 - 15, 2019
Open to participants enrolled in the online course: Introduction to Facilitating Process Arts
~ Are you interested in teaching process painting?
~ Are you a professional working in any type of process-oriented learning environment,
such as a group leader, therapist or teacher?
~ Are you unsure if you want to facilitate or teach, but you’d like to deepen your experience of process painting?
Learn to put the principles of process arts into practice!
Introduction to Facilitating Process Arts teaches the philosophy and methods of process-oriented education developed by The Painting Experience over the last 40 years. Presented by founder Stewart Cubley and his staff, the online course contains three modules and several practices to give you the materials, tools and community to incorporate process arts into your life and your work.
Onsite Facilitator Training
The Painting Experience hosts onsite facilitator trainings at least once each year. These trainings provide an in-person opportunity to build community and explore aspects of the painting process in a rich format of educational exercises, faculty presentations and supervised facilitation practice. If your desire is to deepen your experience of process painting, this program will bring a personal element into your course experience as you get to know and work with the facilitators, staff and other course participants. If you wish to develop your proficiency as a facilitator, this training will help you broaden your understanding of how others meet the challenges of process painting and what it means to be an effective guide.
Past participants have found these onsite gatherings to be both personally inspiring and professionally motivating. You’ll share and hear stories of the myriad situations that arise on the path of learning to facilitate process painting, and you’ll feel emboldened to take risks in new areas of your life.
As a course participant you’re invited to join us Monday, November 11th through Friday, November 15th. You may also stay on for the weekend workshop immediately following the training. Registration is limited, so make your plans early.
