The Fremont Neighborhood of Seattle Fremont in Seattle is a popular, somewhat bohemian and delightful destination where a huge (and often decorated) bronze statue of Lenin stands across the street from the Fremont Space project, which has a direct line of site to the Rocket Ship at the corner of 35th and Evanston, a short walk to the well loved statuary, Waiting for the Interurban.
There are many restaurants and shops, access to a local bike trail, and you are within minutes of motels and bed and breakfasts. Self-proclaimed “Center of the Universe” and home of the yearly Fremont Solstice Parade, the area has long been the spiritual center of Seattle’s creative persona. The Doric Lodge is in the center of Fremont shopping and café culture. October 8 - 10, 2010 Local Contact: Ann Sloper at 206.295.6877.
