The Painting Experience will be hosting its next Bay Area workshop at the historic Fort Mason Center in San Francisco. Located along the northern waterfront between Aquatic Park and the Golden Gate Bridge in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, the Fort Mason facilities provide unparalleled views of the San Francisco Bay. It is an ideal setting for painting, with a spacious studio and convenient access to local restaurants and other attractions.

Tuition:
$425 + $25 materials fee. $200 deposit.

First-time students find these weekend workshops an excellent introduction to the principles of the Process Arts as outlined in the book Life, Paint & Passion: Reclaiming the Magic of Spontaneous Expression. Continuing students find an opportunity to deepen their practice, to gain new insights into their process and to work within a supportive, stimulating community.

CE Credits available for MFT/LCSW/RN

East Bay Bay Bridge to Fremont Street Exit; on Fremont (100 yards north) take first right on Howard; left on Embarcadero & go 2 miles; left on Bay & go 2 miles; right on Buchanan. Cross Marina Blvd. & sharp right into Fort Mason Center.

North Bay Golden Gate Bridge (US 101) to Marina Exit; Marina Blvd (1.5 miles) to Buchanan & turn left into Fort Mason Center.

Peninsula/South Bay US 101 North to 9th St. Exit; 9th across Market & left on Hayes; right on Franklin; left on Bay; right on Buchanan. Cross Marina Blvd. & sharp right into Fort Mason Center

Parking

There is free parking only a short walk from Fort Mason at the Harbor Parking Lot outside the Fort Mason Center Gate and along the waterfront to the north. Or, vehicles can enter the Fort Mason Center parking lot at any time. There is a cashier on duty from 8:00 am until midnight every day. The exit gates accept credit or debit cards, so vehicles can exit after hours provided they do not require cashier assistance. Overnight parking is not permitted.

Rates:
Weekday: 0-29 min (free), 30-60 ($2.00), 60-120 min ($4.00), 120-240 min ($6.00), Over 4 hours ($8.00)
Weekends: 0-29 min (free), 30-60 ($1.00), 60-120 min ($2.00), 120-150 ($4.00), 150-180 min ($6.00), 180-240 min ($8.00), Over 4 hours ($10.00)

* Weekday parking is Monday-Friday until 4:00 pm (Vehicles entering lot prior to 4:00 pm Friday pay weekday rate regardless of when they exit on Friday)
** Weekend parking is Friday after 4:00 pm, Saturday & Sunday (Vehicles entering lot at 4:00 pm or later on Friday pay weekend rate

We look forward to your participation in our Bay Area workshop. Fort Mason is centrally located, with easy access to the Embarcadero, the Marina and North Beach neighborhoods, and just minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge. It is recommended that you book reservations early.
