“In the process of creative exploration, insights and understandings are revealed that become landmarks in our own personal journey. Those intimate moments of daring, surrender and breakthrough that the painting process so naturally calls forth lead to changes in the way we perceive and act…showing us the way to a more courageous and meaningful participation in the world.”
- Stewart Cubley

Twelve days of in-depth painting with a small community in a pristine setting provides the opportunity to make a lasting investment in yourself and your life. The foundation of this intensive is personal attention—in the painting process, in the nurturing environment, in small group interactions and in private meetings with Stewart. This is our longest and most personalized group program.

Questions you might choose to explore at the Invitational Intensive are listed below. These questions and others can be addressed personally or in the compassionate group setting as a way uncovering essential areas of openness to change.

• Am I living close to the edge of my being? Am I meeting life in a way that engages my passion and my true desire?
• Do I have a deeply felt meaning to my life, and am I giving my best time and energy toward that meaning?
• What is my relationship to mystery, and how do I include it in my world?
• What are my shadow areas where I cannot or will not experience myself? Do I have an effective way to explore these shadows?
• Am I in touch with my deep caring? Does it manifest? How?
• Aside from painting, how do I listen deeply? What is the feedback from that listening and how does it work for me?

The Invitational Intensive requires substantial preparation, including an interview with the Process Arts staff prior to the experience to identify your vital areas of interest and your goals. During your Intensive, you will have two private one-to-one meetings with Stewart; you will also have numerous opportunities to interact with him in various group settings. Additionally, enrollment in the Intensive entitles you to monthly follow up sessions with Stewart by phone and e-mail for a period of four months after your experience.
A photographic record and journal of your process will be maintained to provide continuity in your interactions with Stewart. “The Art of Being,” a guidebook written by Stewart is included as a source of inspiring quotes, discussions and questions to be used on your journey.
